Skincare

Can I use Apia Honey products on my sensitive skin?

Apia Honey was created from a need to provide a solution for my daughters skin condition and overall skin sensitivity.  Therefore all skincare products have been formulated with this in mind meaning no artificial fragrances, no steroids and no long ingredient lists to let the benefits of using honey on the skin shine through.  This means clean, natural and effective products for your skin that have been tested on my family for results.  Of course, as with any product if you do develop an irritation then you should stop application and seek medical advice.

Are Apia Honey skincare products tested on animals

No way.  We have a deep connection to bees and interact with nature every day so would never test any of our products on animals.  Only my children!

What does ‘clean & natural’ skincare mean?

Avoiding parabens, PEGs, sulfates (SLS/SLES), GMOs, mineral oils, petrolatum or synthetic colours in our products.  Letting the honey and beeswax be the hero ingredients for all the products and only using natural oils & butters to compliment these hero ingredients

Where are Apia Honey products made?

We are a Western Australian company which means all the honey is produced and harvested in selected locations amongst the Jarrah and Marri forests of Western Australia. The skincare products that use this honey and beeswax are produced in a GMP certified facility in Perth, Western Australia.

Do Apia Skincare products have expiry dates?

Our skincare products do not have an expiration date as they are cosmetic products.

Can I use Apia Skincare products while pregnant?

Yes, all Apia Honey products are safe to use while pregnant with no retinoids and retinol.

Honey is not recommended to be consumed for anyone under 12 months.  If your child is above that age then our honey is a perfect way for them to enjoy natures natural sweetener

Can I use Apia Honey products while pregnant?

Yes, all Apia Honey products are safe to use while pregnant with no retinoids and retinol, BHA’s or soy products used in any of the skincare products and honey is a safe food to eat while pregnant however just be mindful that honey is a natural sugar so please consult your doctor around gestational diabetes

Are Apia Honey products vegan?

As honey is produced from a bee or animal we are not classified as a vegan brand.  If you are vegan, please consult the ingredient information in each product for animal-derived ingredients

Do Apia Honey products have expiry dates?

Honey kept in the correct environment away from heat with the lid on and without any water added to it will stay ‘good’ for many years in general we recommend you consume the jar of honey within 3 years of purchase.

How should I store my honey?

Keep your honey at room temperature in a cool dry environment.  If the honey has candied then simply put the jar of honey into a vessel of warm water for approx 20mins to return back to its liquid state.
